Alex is 6 Months today!

What a baby! He is really adorable. He has entered the cutest phase and is doing so well these days. He is sleeping well at night and taking nice long naps during the day and in between he is always happy go lucky!

He had a phase where he would not sleep well which was at Christmas time and at my mother place just a week ago, but I am realising now that he may simply not adjust well to moving around and change in his routine. Chloe was much more flexible. I think he likes us to stick to a schedule of some kind and likes his bed best.

Right now he is going to bed between 9 and 9:30 pm and sleeps till around 7-7:30am. He will wake up happy now and talk in bed for about 15-30 mnis depending on how he feels. He as his bottle around 8am, then will play in his saucer a little, then he either go in his bouncy chair or jolly jumper while Chloe eats her breakfast. Then we all go back to the living room to play if we are staying home or get dressed and get ready to go out. He then will nap around 10:30 11:00am, for about 1-2 hours. The longer he sleeps then, the shorter his afternoon nap will be usually. He then has a bottle around 12:00-12:30. Then takes another nap around 1:30-2:30pm for another 1hour or 2. Then he has a bottle aroudn 4pm, then takes another much shorter nap around 6:30pm ( sometimes he has his bottle first then naps around 7pm) he then will have his bottle at 7pm, then he plays a little, then it’s bath time around 7:45pm and a last bottle around 8:45pm and in bed by latest 9:30pm. He naps a total a of about 3 1/2- 4 1/2 hours a day and sleeps about 10 hours at night. THis is very recent though that his naps are so long. I used to have to go to his room after 45 mins to give him his pacifier so he could continue his nap. Now he sleeps 2-3 hours straight through some days. It’s a really nice change.

Today his long nap allowed me to go outside with Chloe to play in the snow and showel the drive way. I brought the montior outside with me and he slept for over 2 hours! It was great!

He is drinking 5 bottles of about 7 oz. We started to feed his rice cereal this week and he is not taking it well. we tried three times already and he really doesn’t like the taste we think. We skipped yesterday but will try again to day. His 6 month appointment is in two days so we’ll see what the Doc says. He is still on Elecare.

His ezcema is under control, but we need to continue to cream him every morning and night. we are mainly using Elidel, and Cetiphil cream. We sometimes use Aquaphor and corisone cream when it gets bad.

He is very strong and can hold himself up well. He even trys to take steps. he loves jumping around in his Jolly Jumper and loves his saucer. He especially likes the saucer when we put toys around him to touch and put in his mouth. He loves to touch things and goes CRAZY trying to get stuff. He loves putting things to his mouth….hands and all. He still uses a pacifier, but not as much now since he can use other things to pacify himself. We do not give him a pacifier at night, only during naps.

He also started to turn himself over on his tummy when he sleeps…which is a problem because he will wake up crying. I had to go in this morning to turn him around so he coudl continue sleeping. So he hasn’t quite figured out how to turn himself back.

He is also sitting up much better. he still requires pillows all around , but he is much better at holding himself.

He is cooing alot these days and has started to make sounds like Ga ga ga and ba ba ba. He still drools like crazy and we have to change his bib ever hour or so. He has the most amazing smile and LOVES faces. He goes into an instant smile when ever we look at him. He also turns when we call his name now.

He loves to cuddle when I read to his big sister. He will look at the pictures and try to touch the book…which ofcourse sets off Chloe, but she over all does well with him and enjoys him alot. He misses him when he isn’t around and asks where he is if he isn’t with us. SHe knows he is a part of our family now and enjoys having him in our lives. Like her, we cannot imagine now what life would be without this little bundle of joy.

Tonight we are going to Karate, we tried 2 months ago but haven’t gone back since due to all of us getting sick over and over again it seemed. now the holidays are done and we are all better…so it’s better late than never!

Happy 6 month birthday Alexandre, we love you!

Mamam et papa qui t’aime gros gros gros!

Almost 5 Months ( week before Christmas)

Well, Alex has hid first sickness. Shortly after I wrote last time, Chloe got my cold…and what a cold it was…fever and all. it turned into an ear infection. Well poor Alex caught this nasty cold too, except it turned into Bronchitis for him!! I had to bring him in two weeks ago because he was wheezing. The Doctor ( Dr Macbeth …Dr Stevens was sick) suggested we use a Nebuliser to help with his breething. We had to buy one for him. It was very tricky to use, he would completely fight it if he was awake. But it did seem to help alittle. Even with this though he would wake up at least once a night with a coughing fit…none worst than the night before I brought him in where we had to bring him to the bathroom to make him stop coughing. BUT, now it is all gone and BOY What a difference!!!

He has been sleeping 10 hours straight without a peep now for 4 consecutive nights from about 9:30- 7:30…2 times to 8 am! RIGHT before he got sick he started to do better sleepwise aswell. He had actually found his thumb and started to put himself to sleep. (I think this might have in part been a result of trying to reduce his use of the pacifier, for 3 days I hardly gave it to him…and this was NOT an easy task!! I Slowly started to give it back to him and then one night he found his thumb…it was wonderful!). Anyway, had he not gotten sick, I think he would have been like this much sooner.

We also let him fall too sleep on his own. Our night routine is bath, then a little play, then bottle, then I bring him upstairs, put him in his sleep sack, rock him and sing abotu 3 songs then put him down, rub his head and tell him it’s time for Dodo adn turn on the aqurium. Sometimes he starts to cry right away…and then I have to just let him do his thing. Eventually, about 5 mins later he finds his thumb and falls asleep. I no longer hive him his pacifier at night. I noticed though that if I put him down closer to 9pm and he is less tired, he doesn’t really cry. I think the longer I wait the more he has a tough time falling asleep. I will have to keep working on that. Over all though, he is doing amazingly well.

After he wakes up in the morning he normally plays in bed for about 30-45 mins. Depends how late he wakes up. the closer to 8am he wakes up the less patience he has since he wants his bottle. he normally eats at 8am. THen usually 2 hours later he is dead tired again and goes for a short nap, then again around 11am he seems to want to sleep again…whcih is odd because it is not long after his first nap. THen he usualy has his second bottle around noon. THen aroud 1:30pm, I try to put him down at the same time as Chloe. This doesn’t always work out…depends on how long he slept in the morning. Today for example did amazing. He went down around 1:45pm and did not wake up until 4pm. He started to really cry only once and I gave him his pacifier ( I sometimes have to do taht 3 or 4 times) and he slept till 3:30….and let out a few crys but consoled himself and then really woke up at 4pm. Normally though, he has his 3rd bottle around 3:30pm, then another around 6:30 then finally at 9pm. we give him his bath around 8:00pm. He sometimes goes for a short nap between 7:30 and 9pm, but we try to stretch him now so he will go down by around 9pm and wake up later.

We went to Karate only once the last month. It actually had gone well, but then I got sick, Chloe got sick and then Alex got sick!!! So we are going to wait until the New Year to try again.

Alex is moving around much more. In the morning we find him turned all the way around in his bed. He actually turned himself over once tonight while he was playing. He is able to hold his head quite nicely when lieing on his stomach, but doesn’t like to do it for long. He seems to enjoy this more than Chloe did. He is getting very good at putting things in his mouth. Especially his bibs. He droooooools like crazy too. We have to change his bibs like 5 -7 times a day otherwise he soaks his Pj’s. He loves to stand up and jump up and down…so ofcourse his favorite places now are the Saucer and the jolly jumper which he enjoys alot. He does’nt stay for long in either, but loves every minute of it. He is making some progress sitting up, but still shoots back within seconds. We need to make him practice a little more.He spends probably too much tim standing rather than sitting. We still use the bouncy chair alot. That is where he sits when we eat dinner or breakfast together. He still LOVES his bath and actually started taking some of them in the big tub with Chloe!! she loves it and poors water on him. He likes it too I think.

We changed formulas to ELecare. Since then his poops have been more frequent and a better texture. We also changed to a slower nipple and he is doing so much better now. He hardly ever spits up now and his nose seems to be doing better aswell. He still has excema…comes and goes. IT is still right there though…if for some reason you forget to cream him or we do not keep the place humid enough it will come back really red.

We are busy getting ready for the holidays. I cannot wait for the whole family to see him again. He has changed so much. I am happy he is sleeping good nights now too. It’s perfect timing.

Alex is just a joy. He Coos like crazy and started to make noices like he is Chew bakka in Star Wars!! It is soooo funny. It’s like a gargling sound. He does it over and over again when he is happy. I will have to try to get it on tape.

Well it’s late…need some sleep!!

We love you ALex!!

4 month appointment

We all went to Alex’s 4th month appointment today. Chloe is actually sick with a pretty bad virus so we had Doctor Stevens look at her at the same time. Alex seems to have managed not to catch it..yet anyway!

Alex is doing quite well. He is healthy and growing like a weed.

weight 15.2 pounds
hieght 26 1/4 inchs

He got his second rounds of shots, same as at 2 months

We learned a few things from the Doctor.

One is that we might be over feeding him, which could be leading to added reflux which in turn can cause secretions in the sinus region. He said we should not be giving him b/w 4-6 oz and we had been giving him about 7-8 at every feeding. Which could explain why he would spit up about 1-2 ounces after every feeding. So we switched him to slower nipples and he is eating much less and seems happy. It takes forever to feed him now, but he is not spitting up as much. We will see how that goes. Sometimes he just pacifies himself since we have taken away his pacifier temporarily. He had become completely dependant on it to fall asleep and would fight and scream with out it. it’s been 2 days and two nights now and he is already so much better and is now able to sooth himself with the pacifier. We intend to reintroduce it on an as need basis. But we’d like him to fall asleep on his own, and without our help. He did much better tonight and only cried for about 5 mins and I was able to sooth him a little by tapping him bum and singing to him.

Two the Doctor recommends we stay on the hypo allergic formula until he is 6 months. He feels it doesn’t hurt him to stay on it longer and if anything regular formula might make his ezcema worse and his stools worse. With Elecare, which we just switched too 3 days ago, he seems to have better stools. His Ezema is not too bad…but we can’t manage to keep his face completely clear. He Always has this one patch. Dr. Stevens said not to worry about that by 1 year it should be much better.

Other than that though, he is doing fine. He also confirmed that because he was born one month early, he would be behind one month until about 1 year of age. Which explains a few other things, like why he hasn’t really tried turning over yet, or why he has difficulty grabbing things and putting his hand to his mouth.

When he isn’t dieing for his pacifier, he is a very happy baby. He has the biggest smiles and loves to coo away. It’s definitly easier now that he is starting to grab things because he can entertain himself a little more.

We love you Alex!

Baby Alex 4 months

Alex is 4 months today!

He is doing well over all and has finally established some routines.

He now sleeps about 9 hours at night and can go through without any crying, but many nights he still crys out. He goes down around 10:00pm and sleeps till about 6:30 – 7am. Sometimes he is able to put himself back to sleep, but at other times we have to go in and turn on his aquarium and if that doesn’t work than we have to give him his pacifier. We have been trying not to give his pacifier at night anymore because about 4 weeks ago, just after I entered the last web log he started to wake up around 3am for his pacifier and then every 30-45 mins after that until 6:45am. It was not very pleasant. So we did a little research and found that perhaps letting him cry it out one night or two might help him not be so dependant on it. We have been trying that, and the first time we decided to let him cry it out, he did not cry too long, maybe 15-20 mins. But this still did not seem right. luckily that was all it took…for a week or two, but then I am not sure what happened, but it started all over again. This past week he has been waking up quite a bit. We started to give in and give his pacifier off and on. We will have to try crying it out again or limit the use of his pacifier and hope he starts finding his fingers or something else to help him feel better.

Right now sleep is not substantial and Chloe seems to be teething too which is making it a little hard one us. But despite all that Alexandre is just so amazing. When he is in a good mood, his smile will completely make you forget the sleepless nights. He has this glow about him , his face lights up when he is happy and he has the most adorable dimples!

He is very tall and is getting very big. He is busting out of his 3-6 month clothing. He will be going for his check up in a couple of days so we will know for sure.

His nap schedule varies and goes with the plan of the day. If we are out in the morning and he stays in his car seat he will probably sleep longer and not sleep as long in the afternoon. But normally, two hours after he wakes up, he is ready for a snooze. if we go on a play date or french class, he will fall asleep in his car seat right before we leave and wake up shortly after we arrive and part take in the activity. This is kind of nice because then he sleeps longer in the afternoon…maybe 2 hours. But never straight. He wakes up crying several times crying, but if you give him his pacifier he falls back to sleep. this is tricky though when you are trying to ween him off the pacifier!! Soon, very soon he will find his fingers I hope!

He loves to stand and push off with his feet. he hasn’t started turning over just yet, but he should get there soon. His favorite place is probably the bouncy chair when it is in the Kicthen and he can see me cook. Oh wait, he loves the bath too!! he loves to get changed on the counter and then look up at the light above the sink when he bathes. He coos quite a bit now too. THe saucer is getting a lot of use, but he isn’t able to reach everythign just yet. One thing I have noticed is that he is much more photo friendly and can laugh or smile on command. I think Chloe was a little more work at this age. I know later she became much more sociable. Alex will burst into a smile to just about anyone anytime! BUT when he is hungry or tired…watch out!!

Well that is all for now. ! We love you baby Alex, you are very sweet! Your big sister loves you too!

Alex first real long night! (He is almost 3 months)

Yesterday, Alex slept quite a bit during the day AND only had 4 bottles ( because he slept so much). We tried very hard to squeeze one in at 11pm and then again at midnight but he only drank 3 ozs total of it ( some of which always ends up on his bib!). He drank at 8:30, 1pm, 6:00pm, 9pm. He started to cry and get whiny around 11:00pm so we thought he was hungry, but he would not drink. turns out, he wanted to sleep!! I put him in his pack and play and he passed out instantly when he hit the mattress. Amazing. this is the second time i see him do this. He Slept from that moment 11pm to now 8:00am and still going!!

He is doing much better and looks happier these days. His skin is all clear and he pooped yesterday ( which probably helped) after not pooping for several days.

He is able to stand now for short periods while we hold his hands or arms. He still wobbles and flails his arms sometimes which is super adorable. He is very much attracted to the helium balloons we got for Chloe’s birthday. He can stare at them for long period of time. He especially likes to lie on his back and stare up at them when we tie the balloon to his wrist. He then moves his arms up and down and makes the balloon move. Very cute. He is also able to sit in his saucer quite well without any assistance. He seems to enjoy it in there.

Well Chloe is actualy up before Alex, I best get her if I dont’ want to be running around too much when Alex wakes up!

Slept through the night finally ( a real one!) 2 months and 3 weeks

Alex did very well last night…the first real time he has slept through the night. he went to bed at 11:30pm, fell asleep on his own right away and woke up to feed at 6:45. He woke up once at 4:30am but I gave him his pacifier and turned on the aqurium and he fell right back to sleep. Also at 6:45, I did the same thing and I only had to feed him at 7:15. It gave me time to shower.

We finally saw an allergist (Dr fussillo) who thought Alex had milk protien allergies, however, even after being on Neocate ( similar to Elecare) his rash did not go away. After about 10 days, his rash was so bad I had to go see a dermatologist( Dr Goldberg). He was having a hard time sleeping and was always trying to scratch his face or rubbing it against us. Dr. GOldberg thinks it is a little crazy to be treated for allergies at such a young age. Both fields differ in their opinion of what the ezcema is cause by. Anyway, he perscribed 2 different creams, one for face and one for his body. and within 2 days his excema was almost all gone! The key is giving them a bath every day and then sealing the moisture with the creams.

So with his face better…we still had another problem. He had not pooped on his own since he started the neocate. After 5 days we use a suppository to help him go. then after another 5 days went buy, Dr Stevens suggested we try giving him 1/2 ounce of prune juice mixed with 1 1/2 ounces of water. And with in a day or so he pooped! and then pooped again 3 days straight. We are still giving him prune juice once a day almost every day and he is much more regular.

He still sounds stuffy. No one is quite sure why. We did a test this past week and stopped using the creams for his ezcema and sure enough within 2 days the rash started to come back!! Dr Fussillo said that if it did come back he probably did not have an allergy to milk after all. Of course, now we still have 2 weeks supply of Neocate so we have to decide what to do with it. Is it harmful to keep giving it to him if he doesn’t really need it? Do we try a regular formula again?

Over all though his moods have improved and he is happy and content for much longer periods of time. Because he is doing so well, I worry about changing his formula once again.

His Schedule is similar to at 2 months. He wakes up at about 5 am he eats then goes right back to sleep until 9am, then he eats again around 9:30-10am, then again at 12:30-1pm, 3:30-4:30pm, 7:30-8pm, 11pm. Ofcourse, now that he woke up at 6:45 this morning his schedule was a little different. He ate at 7:15, 11am, 2pm, and we’ll see how the rest of the day goes!

He still has about 5 oz per feeding, sometimes 6oz 6 times a day! He is still a messy eater and always pours formula down his cheeks!

He doesn’t have much of a sleep pattern during the day yet. Basically, if we go out and he is in his carseat, he sleeps. So in the morning when we are on play dates and stuff he will sleep through the whole thing. He is very good about that. Chloe is very lucky. But when we are home, he doesn’t sleep nearly as long, maybe only 20 mins at a time. He basically cat naps! I am not sure how all that will play out. I hope I can eventually get him to take a decent nap once or twice a day.

He smiles alot now and has huge dimples. He also coos quite a bit and loves looking at his mobile. He is able to reach out and touch them now. OH and he has started to suck on his knuckles. it’s very funny. He is also a very big baby, every thinks he is way older than 2 1/2 months.

He still has brown hair and dark eyes, not sure what color they will turn. We have him in the 1-2 size diaper and he is wearing his 3-6 months clothing already…some are even a little on the small size! He also has bigger feet than Chloe ever did.

Well that is all the news for now. We love you baby Alex!

2 months – First round of Immunizations,Sept 24th

Alex saw Dr Stevens for his 2nd month appointment. He is doing very well weight and hieght wise.

Hieght: 23.5″
Weight:12lbs 2 oz
head: 15.5″

He also got his first round shots (3 of them). He just yelpt a little and that was all. Took it like a real man.

Shots:
DTAP
HIB
Hepatitis B
Polio
Prevnar

Overall, he has been doing better…although we are still struggling with his schedule not to mention his formula. I started to wean him off in the last week and today was actually one of his last breast feedings. I’m very disappointed about this but in order to figure what is wrong with him I needed to eliminate all these variables. Not to metion the time it was taking away from Chloe to breast feed AND give him formula.

I explained to the Dr. what reactions he has been having and explained to him that we switched from Similac Advanced ready made to powder Advanced to Alimentum Ready Made and that some of symptoms seemed to get a little better ( his rash, fussyness) but that he was still very gassy and his poops were still pretty thick and only happening every other day or so.

He suggested that we try a formula that has 100% hydrolised protien called Elecare. He thinks he may have an allergic reaction to the protien. The Alimentum is 90% hydrolised protien but if he really has an allergy to protien this 10% can make a huge difference. I asked him about Isomil and he said that in over 50% of cases most babies were also allergic to the soy protien but that I could try to appease my mind. So that day we swicthed him over to Isomil. Ofcourse, it was hard to judge his reaction to the formula since any change could also be related to the shots or even to the fact that he is coming down with a cold and has been having trouble breathing ( Chloe has had a cold now for two days so he probably got it from her). Today however went rather well and he seems less colicy over all, but his rash has not disappeared yet. If anything it has been getting worse again.

His schedule is really up in the air. He has been feeding 6 times most days having 4-5 oz bottles ( sometimes only 3 oz) per feeding. Closer to 4 oz most days. How the day goes usually depends on what time he wakes up at night for his feeding. The closer to 5 he wakes up at, the more normal our day is. If he feeds at 5am, he then wakes up around 8am, I feed him around 8:30-9am and then again around 12:30pm, 3:30pm, 7:30pm, 11pm. BUT on some days, he wakes up earlier like 4am and I end up feeding him earlier like 7:30am and then everything gets thrown off. some days he eats every 3 hours for some feedings too. Today he ate at 4am, 7:30am, 11am, 2pm, 5pm…then he finaly slept for about 3 hours and he did not wake up until 9:30pm. We fed him then and he stayed awake for about 1 1/2 and started to get fussy, we tried to feed him more around 11pm but he would not drink. so we put him down and he has been sleeping now for over an hour. So it is going well for a change. I guess we’ll see what time he wakes up at tonight.

Otherwise, he is started to smile and be awake for longer times. Chloe adores him and is always asking about him, helping us out with him. She loves to rub his head and suck her fingers. They are very cute together.

Charles and I share night time feedings otherwise i’d go crazy!

Well it’s 12:00pm, best go to bed!

Week 6 update

Alex is now 6 weeks. He is getting bigger every day it seems and is much more aware of his surroundings. He is holding his head quite well and pushing with his little feet. He has gotten too big for his bassinette and is now sleeping at night in his crib which charles’ sister brought up this past weekend. He takes most of his naps downstairs either in the pack and play or in one of his bouncy chairs. Sometimes if he is really fussy he will sleep in his infant carrier which seems to work best so far!

He has been very gasy this past week. It seems he is reacting to the increased amount of Formula we have been giving him. He is not pooping as much and is crying after each bottle non stop. We started giving him mylocon, we changed to powder formula ( after we discovered they put MSG in the ready formula and we thought it might affect him) and we changed to a Dr. Brown bottle. This all seems to have helped he seems to have gotten better in the last two days. He also has gotten bad rash/acne on his face and now shoulders and parts of his arm. We are not sure what this is from. Some say it’s due to an allergic reaction to the formula. We will see what the Dr says when we see him in two weeks.

Early this week he actually slept through what I call ” the night” he went from 9:30-10pm to 4am one night and to 5am next night. So he went without a bottle for over 6 hours. However, he did not fall asleep right away on both nights. instead he would cry for a while on and off until about midnight, 1am. So in both cases he did not sleep more than 4 hours straight.

After these two nights, he went back to his usual pattern of eating at 9:30pm and then falling asleep around 11:00pm and waking up at 2am…which is tough on us. he then wakes again around 6am. but he has a difficult time falling asleep after his 2am bottle.(atleast, when I give him this feeding). Last night I was able to get back to bed at 3:30am.

After his 6am feeding he snoozes for about an hour or so and then eats again around 9:30 am. then around 1pm, 5pm, 9pm. We sometimes try to squeeze in an extra feeding by feeding him around 4pm, then 7pm and then 10:30pm in the hopes that he will wake up later than 2am. This never seems to work, but for some reason we keep trying.

We have been going on playdates with some new friends we met at the park Jackie and her two sons Daniel (2 1/2) and William (4mths) and kathy and her two daughters Sarah(3) and Julia (19mths). It’s been nice to get out of the house. Unfortunately Alex always seems to sleep through them.

He sleeps pretty much from 10am to 1pm consistantly. The other naps are not as consistant. He sleep again for another hour or so after his second bottle and again in the evening after his dinner bottle.

We are slowly adjusting to life with two babies. It’s tough but we are getting the hang of it slowly but surely. We are hoping to start eating better and excersing more as soon as we get our double jogger which should be coming in soon. I think I’ll feel better once I lose those extra 22 pounds. My goal is to be 132 lbs again…if not lower!

Well that is all for now!

I love you Alex, you are definitly a cutie!

Mom

A couple of other firsts

His cord fell off at the end of his second week all by itself.

We also recieved his Social Security Card in the second week…although it was writte in the name of Alex and not Alexandre. We will have to change that! We still have not gotten his birth certificate.

1 month appointment with Dr. Stevens August 26th 2004

Alex had his 1 month appointment today. Doctor says he is doing great and is gaining enough weight. I sure hope so since we have been breast feeding him and giving him formula at almost every feeding.

Weight 9lbs 8 oz
Height 21 3/4 inchs

He is much more awake these days and can stay up for over an hour at time. Feedings are every 3-4 hours on average. Right now he seems to have some sort of pattern going. He feeds around 9:30-10pm, then again around 1:30-2:00am ( although last night we fed him at 10pm and he fed again at 3am) then at about 5:45, 6am then at 9:30ish, 12:30/1:30, 4pmish, 8 pm, 10:30pm. if he eats later in the afternoon and starts his night time feeding closer to 9:30pm then we skip the 8pm feeding. The biggest problem is getting him to go back to sleep after the evening feedings. Often it takes an hour or more to get him to sleep after his 9pm and 2 am feeding. We are working on this and some nights are better than others.

This week Charles is on vacation so he has been helping me with the night feedings. He has been taking the 3am feeding which happens to be the hardest since your night is broken up into 2-3 hour chunks. We have been each taking our turn to sleep downstairs with him but I think we will be stopping that this weekend. We may also stop breast feeding altogether since it takes me over an hour to breast feed him then change his diaper and then give him the bottle and then put him back to sleep. I am not thrilled about stopping, but at this point I’m just not producing enough milk and I dont’ have the time to pump to increase the supply. It is difficult to find the time to breast feed with another toddler in the house let alone pump.

We have seen some samples of what his smile will look like. He has the cutest little dimples. He still makes this little whistle like face where his lips are all puckered up. It’s so adorable. He still snorts when he is looking to feed.

This week he has already had plenty of firsts. Since Charles was on vacation we went to the pool Monday, muscoot farm on tuesday and the zoo wednesday. Today we went to the doctors office, Costco to get his pictures developed and then we went to visit Michelle and Samantha.

He has gotten plenty of cute little gifts over the past month. I’m still working on writing those thankyou notes!

Alex is very adorable and I’m so thrilled to have him. He has been a pretty good baby over all especially considering he was born early. The only thing so far is that we are hoping he begins to use his fingers to comfort himself like Chloe did…but so far…he doesn’t seem coordinated enough to find his hands so we have been using a pacifier when in need.

Chloe seems to already have taken a liking to him. Every morning she asks where he is and she trys to feed him, tickle him, rub him etc. It’s so cute.

The attic is pretty much done, it just needs to be set up. We still have to put all his clothing away in his room. We will be getting his crib on Labour day weekend. Charles sister is driving it down here.

Well that is all the news for now. It’s 11pm and I need to get to bed before his next feeding.
