Alex is 14 months

Not much had changed at 13 months….but I still should have written something. Sorry Alex! We ended up getting his allergy results back a week later. THey say he has allergic tendancies and that his serum levels were 99 which is high but that he is not allergic to any particular food item. So, we do not know what to make exactly of all this. He is still on that Elecare formula but we have been giving him meat and dairy products. Sometimes he seems to be colicky, but we are not sure if it’s just his teeth. In the last few weeks he has been drooling tremendously and has gotten ALL his molars in and has one incissor. I assume the three others are close behind. So it’s tough to tell what is bothering him.

Food wise he is still picky but geting better he definitly does not like to be fed anymore. He likes to eat with his hands or try with a spoon although he still has so much troube getting a mouthful in. He can get it to his mouth but can’t scoop food and keep it on the spoon to bring it to his mouth. If we direct his hand he does better. He basically eats what Chloe eats, toast with PB, eggo’s bagels, cereal, pancakes…but no more baby cereal. He might still enjoy it, but he when I made it the last few times he would take one or two bites and leave the rest so I stopped making it. For lunch and dinner he will eat whatever we eat. His favorite though is pasta…or mac and cheese. He also likes sandwhichs. His favorite fruit right now is watermelon. Chloe at this age hated watermelon! The rest of the fruit he will take or leave depending on how he feels. he likes peas and corn, and will sometimes eat green beans or sugar snap peas. He loves pizza too! Oh and he likes sweet potatoes.

Sleep wise he is doing really well. He is going down about the same time b/w 8:15 and 9:00pm and sleeps till 7:00 am most days. He started to do this about 1 1/2 months ago. It’s been such a blessing! He sometimes gets up later around 7:30….even 8:00 am one time, but right around 7:00am is his normal time, sometimes just a little before that. He will stay quite for about 15 mins then he wants out…so we have a little warning time. He doesn’t really nap in the morning unless we are out and about and he sleeps in the car. He can then be transferred to his stroller. But I do not let him sleep too long otherwise he has a hard time sleeping after lunch. I will sometimes put him down in his bed if he woke up too early. He then goes for a nap around 1:45-2:00pm and sleep for about 2 hours, sometime longer. for about 3 or 4 weeks he would sleep a solid 3 hours, but his teething is just not allowing that.

We started going back to Karate. We tried to bring him but it was impossible to train with him there. He did not want me away from him, even with Sara there watching him. So last week we asked Sara to come here and she watched him. he cried a little when I left but she got him to bed no problem. I think we will try that again this week. I feel bad because I woudl love for him to join us. maybe when he is a little older we will try again. Chloe also started preschool two weeks ago so Alex is stuck tagging along. This week however Jackie and I are going to take turns. She will watch Alex and William tomorrow morning while Chloe is in Preschool and then next week I’ll watch the two babies. This way they do not have to tag along with us to do errands. I feel bad too because I would like to spend some time just the two of us, but I really do need to get some things done. We do get to spend thursday morning together and go to french class alone. I love going there with him. he seems to love the class. It’s so neat to see him doing the class now. He is very good and really into it. He likes Lyvia and is not shy at all. He does try to run around the room near the end, but over all he pays attention.

Word wise, he isn’t getting much progress. We think he said NEZ yesterday while he pointed to his nose but he never said it again. He definitly understands more. he can point to his head, ears, nose, mouth, hands and can do the motions for aViolon in the song mon pere sens va au marche and for Ainsi font and can do the sounds for a cow and pig. He can also do the sounds for Ibuki!! that is so funny! he also understands commands like assi, dedans, tourne, enhaut, ferme (loves to close doors) and is starting to understand the concept of doucement or touche pas. Of course when you say viens ici he just runs away 🙂

He is a crazy climber. He can get up on a regular chair and sit, he also is starting to figure out he can drag his stool to stand on to get where he wants to go…which is getting scary because then he can reach almost everything on the counter. He can push strollers, climb up the small slide in the yard and slide down the big one alone!! he just figured this out last week. He is so cute when he does this. He and Chloe go up and down over and over again chasing each other. He loves to dance and stomp his feet and turning around in cicrles. He also likes to dump all of Chloe’s games on the floor. THe two of them go around walking through the house pusing their strollers. He knows to put the baby in the stroller too! OH and he can get up on a big bed…even the one in his room. So scary! he can get on and off no problem. he is able to get down the stairs if we hold his hand and has to go up alone. He trys to hold on to the railing…but usually ends up crawling up.

He has HUGE feet. size 6 XW already!! just 4 weeks ago he was 5 1/2 XW. He can not fit in any normal shoe. size 12-18 months is getting a little small in some case…but 18 months is good. he wears plenty of 18-24 month tops but the pants in the size are still too long.

He is still hooked on his pacifier….now more than ever since he has been teething so badly. We don’t know how will reduce this. He gets so whiny without it. But, I figure once his incissors are all in we’ll get a small break where we’ll reevaluate everything….like his bottle. He shoudl go on to regular milk soon. He loves drinking water out of a sippy cup so we’ll probably do that with him soon too for milk.

Well that is about all. He is great and still very cuddly. Loves to hug and give wet kisses. He can wave good bye and also send kisses. He is just handsome. We love him dearly and can’t imagine life without him.

We love you Alex!

1st year Dr’s Visit – Shots, weight etc.

Alexandre went to see Dr. Steven’s today while Mamie and papy watched Chloe. THey left right after I got back with Alex. Dr. says Alex is doing very well and looks very healthy. He says he isn’t afraid of him and was looking straight at hime the whole time.

He weighed
23lbs 7.5 oz
31 3/4 inchs tall
18.5 inch arond the head

He is tall and isn’t very heavy for his hieght. the only concern are with his allergies to food. The Doctor ordered his blood tests and added an allergy blood test that will hopefully give us a better indication as to what is going on with his belly. Some days i feel like he is whiny or unhappy because he has gas or reflux but other days I feel like he might just be teething. It’s so difficult to tell what it is. I should know in a couple of days. He did very well with the blood tests. He sat there like a champ until the guy cut off his circultaion practically with the rubber band. He cried from that point on till the end but we were able to keep him still to get three viles. I actually think he was easier than CHloe because he had a tough time finding a vain on CHloe’s arm.

He got 4 immunizations shots too.

H1b – Haemophilus Influenzae type b
Prevnar
mmr – Measles mumps rubbella
chicken pox

Alex is doing very well and we love him dearly. He is such a cutie pie!!

Alexandre 1st birthday!!

Our little guy is already one…he is such a big boy already. He is so sweet and loving. He loves to stay close to those he loves. If you are sitting he will come over to you and sit down on you or give you a big hug. He loves to smile and make himself adored by all that lay eyes on him with his little way. He is also a big explorer and loves to try and mimick everything we do and climbs in places we never thought possible at such a young age.

His favorite outdoor toy right now is the little orange car which Chloe adores as well….but it is now clearly more his than anything else. He likes to get in and out of it and turn the wheel. His favorite indoor toy would have to be his elephant and just walking around with the swifter or his little broom ( which he unfortunately broke). He loves getting in and out of Chloe;s fisher price chair and he unfortunately like to stand in it too! He likes chloe fluffy chair too, he is very funny when he goes to sit in it and just chills out there.

He has started to make more and more sounds and even say things that sound like words. He stared saying DA DY and Ma Ma pretty well. He is great at saying Ahhhh. He also says something that sounds like Alex but comes out more like Alec. He can sing parts of songs now too like Chum ba da chum ba da chum AH AH ( he says the AH AH part).

His favorite song is Mon Corps and the one above. He can actually do all the moves to MOn Corps. He is so funny when he does this. He also dances on command or when he hears music. He has great rythim. He also trys to stomp his feet which is adorable because he ends up taking a step or two instead. He also trys to jump when we tell him too and will get one foot of the ground then sometimes the other and falls on his bum usually. So cute.

He unfortunately has started to get VERY picky about his food. He was doing Soooooo well just 1-2 months ago and now he will only eat a few things like pasta and toast. We have to force him to take bites of other things which he used to just wolf down. He is far from small so I am not too too worried, but he always looks hungry and has been whiny when he sees us with food. He basically just wants to much. He ofcourse is probably teething too because he always has his hands in his mouth so this might not be helping. The worst part is he throws everythign on his tray on the floor. THis is very frustrating. We have started to let him hold his own spoon while eating his cereal. He can get a couple in, but ends up eventually getting it everywhere and he starts to just eat with his hands or throws the bowl down. I will keep trying though as I can see he is proud to do it alone. We have been giving him more and more soy…only about 3-6 oz per day but we are getting there. I am also not as afraid to give him so dairy like in macaroni and stuff. We started giving him peanut butter and he loves it right now.

He pretty much has the same sleep patter as at 11months. Goes down at 8:30-9pm, wakes up around b/w 6:15 and 7:00am usually. He has surprised us on occasion and gotten up at 7:45, but this is very rare. He is quite unpredictable in that way. He isn’t doing so well with his naps though. He takes a small 30 – 45 mins nap in the morning, sometimes he just power snoozes while in the car for like 10 mins and then takes another 2 hour nap in the after noon. he usually wakes up crying.

We have taken him to the pool a few times already. the last time we went he did very well and did not being in the water at all. I think he doesn’t like the cold water much. I also put him under twice and he didn’t even cry. I tried Chloe too but she wailed after! Oh well! 🙂

What else….Oh he isn’t drooling much anymore and hasn’t worn a bib in a few weeks. This is such a relief!! It’s nice to be able to see his clothing for a change. He still uses his pacifier quite a bit though we will have to work on that soon.

He also got his first ear infection and major fever. Poor baby was miserable all of friday night and saturday morning until we noticed he had a 103.5 fever and brought him in to see the doctor. I was so worried because we had worked like dogs getting everythign ready for his b-day party Sunday. BUT he was a trooper and did very well. He loved his cake too and just dug in! The guest that made it were Tim with Maia and Anjali, Carmel with her two Olivia and Tyler, Barb and Alex with Jordan, Shihan and family, Scott and Amy, Jason and Gab. He got the play hut tent and tunnel set from Scot and Jay and clothing from everyone else. We were very happy with everything. The party turned out great! we had chosen a fish theme because he is are big fish. I decorated everything with fish, made fish cookies, fish cake, and fish shaped sandwichs. Sara came and helped me saturday night and again early sunday morning. She was a huge help.

Well that is all for now. Mamie arrived Monday evening and is here with us for a week. unfortunately she has a bad back and is not able to enjoy her stay like she normally does. We’ll have to make the best of it regardless.

We love you Alex!!

Moaugh!

11 months already!

Alex is such a little boy now. He is very agile and is a great walker already. He sometimes falls because he trys to go to fast. He is already trying to run! He can climb on and off the couch without any trouble and his favorite thing right now is climbing onto Chloe’s yellow chair, sitting down and getting up! He loves to just pace around the house picking up objects as he goes. He walks around with books quite a bit because he sees Chloe handling them so much. He unfortunately destroys them so we have been trying to give him the more baby type books to do what he wishes with. Chloe is pretty good at keeping tabs on her books these days! He can push things quite well too. THe one thing he finds extremely fasinating are doors. He loves to open and close them…any kind of doors too, pantry the TV/VCR doors the closet doors, etc! He doesn’t watch much TV because he doesnt’ really sit still just yet. CHloe would always have a 30 mins TV session, but he just entertains himself so well I do not need to have him watch any. He just walks around finding things to amuse himself. It’s quite funny to watch.

He is also very affectionate. Loves hugging and holding on to us, even newer people. He easily will go to a stranger too and not cry. in fact he smiles at just about anyone who looks at him. He has such a way. He crys only when he wakes up, his tummy hurts, when he’s hungry or when he has just hurt himself. Which seems to be all the time these days! He is into everything!

His schedule is quite good these days too. It does vary but in general he wakes up around 6:30-7am ( usually closer to 6:30, even 6:15 some days). He will sometimes chat a bit, but the crying follows shortly after. About 4 weeks ago I started to give him his morning bottle in bed in the hopes he would fall back to sleep or let him stew a little longer so I could have time to shower. He has fallen back to sleep on occasion, but more often than not it just buys me about 20 mins. Some days he has surprised us and woken up closer to 7:30-8am. Today he woke up at 8:30am, but he was very tired from our weekend with our friends Sylvie and Stephane. After his bottle I change him and bring him downstairs. I let him play a little. Chloe will wake up between 7:00 and 8:00am. I normally bring him upstairs with me and let him play upstair while I get chloe. He likes to go in Chloe’s bed and jump while I change her. We then all go down together and have breakfast. After breakfast we either get ready for an activity or Chloe watches Sesame Street and I put Alex down for a nap. He normally sleeps around 30-45 mins, but it can go to 1 1/2 hrs. If we go for an activity, Chloe watch the start of sesame street with Alex while I pack up then we head out. Either to the park or a friends house. If we are not home he will normally sleep either in his car seat or in his stroller for 30 mins. Around 11:30-12:00pm Alex starts to get hungry. I try to feed him his solids first at the same time as Chloe. So I might try to stretch him with a snack because i prefer they eat closer to 12:30pm. If I am out and really can’t stop to feed him solids then I will give him a snack and his bottle then feed him later, pretty much right before his nap time. These days they both go down around between 1:30 and 2pm. THe time depends on how early they woke up and how long his morning nap was. If his nap was really short then he can sleep 3-3 1/2 hours. Some days 4 hours! But normally I’m happy with a good 2 1/2 hour nap. It can be as short as 1 1/2 hrs if he slept long in the morning. Chloe usually always sleeps 2 1/2 – 3 hours. so I normally get 2 hours to do things around the house. I am very thankful for that time. It always to recharge my batteries for the evening!! Then when Alex wakes up ( crying usually) he gets a bottle ( around 4:30-5pm), the eats dinner around 5:30-6pm. Then longer you wait the crankier he gets! Charles then gives the baths around 7:30pm and they have their milke around 8:00pm and they are in bed most days b/w 8:30-9pm and sleep till morning. he sometimes wakes up crying a little, but not often. If this happens I normally just have to turn on his aquarium and find his pacifier for him.

He is eating almost everything these days except the dairy and meat. We are slowly working our way up (we start with one ounce of Soy and are up to 3) but we had to stop last week because we thought the soy might be hurting his tummy. So we are back down to 2 ounces a day. HOwever, now we think it might have been teething or a cold. I usally feed him chopped fruit, pasta, chopped veggies, toast, bread and jarred food. He loves snacks like cheerios, kik and the gerber chewables.

He is not drooling as much these days so I no longer have to keep a bib on him all the time. He Just got 4 more teeth in the last two weeks too and they came all at once. He now has 8 teeth!

He is babbling quite a bit and saying things like DA DA, AH AH, NI NI, and can say Ma ma, but he probably doesn’t realise what he is saying. He likes to repeat sounds his sister makes. He and Chloe tend to play together at the dinner table. She gets made at him when he gets whiny at the table and will tell him NON, and he will do NA, and she will saying it again, NON and he will say NA and they will go back and forth like that until one of them cracks up laughing…and it starts all over again. the tone escalates too so it can get a little annoying, but it always makes me laugh when they both burst into laughter.

It’s really cute to see them interact. of course Chloe tends to get upset with him because he doesn’t repsect her space, but they also have alot of fun together. She will play games with hime like throw the ball at him or have him follow her around the house or she will do AH PI CHEW or WHoopsies to make him crack up. She loves making him laugh and he loves her for it too!

We are working on what to do for his b-day / babtism. We are running out of time and need to make a choice for the god parents soon!

Well I need to get to bed. I love you my little man!! ( I often call him mom petit bebe, or tit homme, tit garcon)

Je t’aime!

10 months and walking!!

Alex actually took his first steps at 9 months and 3 weeks. He made his first steps towards my Cousin Richard who was here visiting for the weekend with his girlfriend Andreanne. He then walked to me and then to Charles. He took about 3-4 steps. He continued this for a week and now after 2-3 weeks he is walking all over the place and can now stand up on his own without holding on to anything! He is growing up so fast!!

I have much more to say about his 10 months, but I need to get to bed. I’ll write more later..need to talk about his 4 teeth coming in, Yucky, scared or vacuum, eating plenty of toddler food on his own, sippy cup, soy…. and more!

Moaugh! we love you!

9 Months ( and two weeks) Dr. Appointment results

I am a little late writing in the weblog. I had good intentions to write the day we went in for his 9 months check up but have been running around doing so many things I kept forgetting!! I’m sorry Alex I’ll try to do better next time!

Doctor says Alex is doing very well. He said we’d have to watch out for this one since he was actually happy as a clam with him, smiling throughout the entire exam. While we waited he was all over the table playing with all the Doctor’s tools and eating up the paper. Chloe sat very quietly in her stroller, terrified to be there…she didn’t say a peep especially not to Dr. Stevens!! how different they both are!

Weight: 20.5 lbs
Hieght: 29.5 inchs ( verify w/ charles)
Head: 18 inchs

Dr. Stevens said we should start trying to give him an ounce of soy every day and increase week to week to see how he reacts. We haven’t started this yet, but we will shortly. Until then he recommended that we do not feed him any meat or milk protein which is making it a little difficult for us right now in terms of selection. He is eating pretty much everything except the things which might make him break out. We are trying very hard to give him little pieces of food so he can start feeding himself. He loves his cheerios, Kik cereal and the szwibeck toasts.

His sleeping patterns are very similar to 8 months. He goes to sleep around 8:30-9pm, wakes up around 6:30am (yup, he is awak 30 mins earlier unfortunately) and we got and get him by 7:00am because he starts to get very whiny. One week ago he actually slept till 7:30ish 4 nights in a row, but then went right back to 6:30am. I wish I understood why that was. He naps around 9:30am anywhere from 40mins to 2 hours ( if not home only about 45 mins), the we give him his solids around noon ( we just started giving him his solids first then bottle before nap), bottle around 1:30-2pm, then nap time from about 1:30-3:30pm, sometimes longer depending on the day. Then he has a bottle when he wakes up and then eats dinner around 5:30-6pm. His last bottle is around 8:30pm. We will have to phase out one bottle soon. We are noticing he is getting a little bit chunky 🙂

He is extremely active. He is very very close to walking. He moves around by crawling or getting up and moving from furniture to furniture. He also is able to use a walker to go from one room to the other. He still hasn’t quite figure out how to turn it though so he will walk with it as far as he can and then when he bumps into something he goes back to crawling. He no longer likes to go in his saucer and doesn’t really like the play park around we made him. Everytime he goes in he pretty much starts to cry right away. He still likes his jumper but we hardly every use it because we worry about his knees because he is getting heavy for it. He loves clapping and does the most adorable wave, he waves by closing his hand. It’s so cute. We just have to say Bye bye and he starts to wave. He loves his Chicken Elmo and just goes nuts when he hears it anywhere in the house. He loves playing with any kind of rope and puts everything into his mouth, including a handful of earth! He loves his swing in the back yard. He actually took a little step today, just once, but he is getting there!

OH and just before his 9 month appointment, Alex went to the emergency room for a catscan. Alex was sitting in his high chair, not the peg perego, the one that sits on a regular chair and Chloe was making him laugh and doing peek a boos with him when she pushed down on the side of the high chair and completely tipped him over and he hit his head on the hard wood floor of the kitchen. We did not see the fall so could not be sure how he hit. He cried and cried for about 10 mins. I got worried about a head injury so I called Dr. Stevens who asked me to take him to Valhalla for a Catscan incase. We were there for 4 hours but everything turned out fine. Luckily Alex fell asleep just before we got to the catscan room and all went well.

We bought a new car, a Honda Odysey and Alex is in his new Britax roundabout car seat. He is for now still facing backwards. The car is great so far we did our first trip with it last weekend to Montreal. Alex does pretty well in the car. He gets a little whiny sometimes but he can normally be stretched. I sat in between Chloe and ALex when he got upset and it made him happy.

Alex still goes to French class with Chloe, soon though, I think I will be registering him only and not Chloe. Perhaps in September I’ll be bringing Chloe to the Y preschool and him to his french class!
He loves the song Mon corp, mon corp aime la musique and head and shoulders knees and toes in french. It always makes him laugh.

He loves his big sister too even though she is always head butting him and teasing him. She takes toys away from him and moves them so he can chase after her 🙂

THat is all for now! We love you Alex!
love mom

Alex is 8 month

Alex turned 8 months on the 26th which was the day before Easter. Tania and Martin were here for a visit and stayed with us from wednesday to monday morning.

Over the weekend Alex suprised and began to crawl!! After just a few days he already much quicker and able to get just about anywhere, but still has trouble on the hard wood floor since he slips. He also can get up on things and stand on his own (holding on of course). You can see though that he is working on standing up without any help. He also started to babble so much more. He makes real manly sounds like the TAZ or Chubaka would make, but he also immitates me when I make more girly type baby sounds, which is funny. He also is clapping his hands and able to relate things like us saying tap tap to clapping of hands.

His schedule has not changed much. Still goes to bed around 9pm and wakes up around 7am. We get him out of bed by 7:30 usually. He has his bottle not to long afterwards and eats his solids later with Chloe around 8:30-9:00am. He takes a nap in the morning, if at home it’s a 1 1/2-2 hour nap and if we are out it’s much shorter. Normally he is very tired by 9:30-10:00am. Then he has a bottle around noon, then has his solids an hour later. He then goes down for a second nap around 2pm and will usually sleep 3 hours. Then when he wakes up around 5pm, he has his bottle, then an hour or so later has his solids, normally with the whole family around 6:00pm. Then has a bath around 8pm and a bottle around 8:30-45 then it’s bed time around 9pm.He sleeps very well and we never hear a peep from him.

He eats quite a few things already. Breakfast is normally oatmeal and fruits ( peach, banana, apple, or pears, prunes). For lunch and dinner it’s rice cereal with a veggie ( either sweet potatoe, carrots, peas, squash) and a fruit. He started to eat Avocado and plums this week. Next week I will have to try regular potatoes, or maybe zucchini. So far, no allergies that we can tell. His pooping is actually not doing too badly. Some days are better than others. He hasn’t refused anything so far. He is a big eater.

He is a big boy and wears 12-18 month clothing and 18 month size PJ’s. He is about a 3.5 shoe already. He is tall and not very chubby though. His eyes are dark brown and he has this little mohawk on his head, it’s very adorable.

He loves to smile and is VERY friendly. He is an easy going baby over all and isn’t very fussy. We love him very much. He is such a joy . I adore holding him close and kissing him.

We love you Alex!!

Sat up on his own!

I finally saw Alex sit up on his own, Charles says he say him almost do it a couple of days ago. Anyway, he was lieing on his tummy and he pushed himself back up with one arm and sat up!

He is definitly growing fast!!!

Clapping and making more sounds! 7 1/2 months

Alexandre surprised me today twice! In the morning while giving him breakfast he began to make some adorable sounds like EN GAS. When he was just a few months old he would say Ga Ga, but it didn’t last. So hopefully this time it will. He later in the afternoon today started doing more GA GA sounds too.

During breakfast this morning I was also playing with him and showing him how to tap his hands ( I woudl say Bravo, and I’d put his hands together). then Later during Chloe’s french class, there was more tapping in the song, if you are happy and you know clap your hands, and here again I tapped his hands. Well, right before nap time I was holding him in my arms and Chloe was singing the song and clapping her hands and then Alex clapped his hands too!! it was soooo cute!! I made Chloe do it over and over again and he kept copying her. They were both so excited ( as was I). I grabbed my video camera and tried to get them to do it. It was too cute for words.

He is growing like a week and doesn’t even fit in size three shoes. He is starting to wear 12-18 months clothing already.

He is having very good nights, going down around 9pm and waking up around 7am. he takes one to two short naps in the morning and then one really long one in the afternoon ( about 2-3 hours) from about 1:30 to 4:30pm. he eats three meals now. We tried oatmeal last week but he started to become very fussy at night the last couple of days. We are not sure if it’s teething or if it’s the oatmeal giving him a hard time. So I am cutting it out for a few days just to see if it gets better.

Sue and Artos were here this past weekend. THey got to meet Chloe and Alex for the first time. They were really great with the kids and kids loved them back. We went to the St-Patricks day parade, where Chloe got terrified of the loud drums and bands and ended up sleeping through the whole thing and then Sunday we went to the Aquarium. Fun weekend over all. I also had to respond to an RFP which was annoying, but I managed, with Sue’s help, to get it done.

Well that is all for now, we love you Alex!!

6 month well visit – January 28th 2005

We saw Doctor Stevens on the 28th for Alex`s 6 month check. He was given a clean bill of health and did very well during the exam. Dr. Stevens said he was a very curious little boy because he kept trying to grab his hand and all the instruments he was using to examine him! He was very funny waiting for Dr Steven`s too. He was on the examining table and was crinkling all the paper and tangling him self in all the curly cords for all of the Doctors tools. He would not sit put! He doesn`t mind the cold either and loves to be naked. Chloe would cry when we took her clothing off. She did not like to be sitting there naked.

They took all his measurments:
Weight: 16lbs 2.4oz 50th percentile
Hieght: 28 3/4 inchs 95th percentile
Head: 17 1/2 inchs

We have a very tall and lean baby!

I am glad he was under 20 lbs so that we could keep using the car seat for another month or so. Length wise his legs are outgrowing it, but width wise he fits perfectly still.

We have started back and Karate now. He did well both nights for the first hour…and after that one of us would have to keep getting on and off. Still, I think that is pretty good for a baby. We are lucky to even get that one hour. We bring the Jolly Jumper which he just loves and we brought Chloe her yellow chair to sit in to watch her movies. I think now that we have the two of them, the most important thing will be not to stay too late. We will have to try to get there early and leave around 9pm rather than 9:30 10:pm. Otherwise, it’s too much for the kids. last night Chloe would not fall asleep until midnight and Alex not till 10:30. He also had a rough night sleeping because his ezcema on the back of his head flared up again. poor thing. It really bothers him to a point where all he wants to do his rub his head and this wakes him up. I had to bring him to our bed from about 5am onwards. He was also not feeling to great today. Not sure if it’s only because of the ezcema or also because of the late night last night. either way, we are very grateful for whatever chances we get to go.

We love you Baby Alex!!
